At Precisely 11 A.M.
On November 11, 1918
World War I Came To an End
A Momentous Worldwide Scene
But ‘The War To End All Wars’
Was Not The End, For Our Veterans
Since That Most Infamous Day in History
We Have Called Upon Them, Again and Again
And, They Have All Served Our Vast Nation, So Very Valiantly
From Both of the World Wars, to Vietnam, to Iraq and Afghanistan
Today is the Day, Proclaimed by President Eisenhower, back in 1954
To Honor Each and Every One Who Has Served Us, Again and Again
