Every time that the Olympics approach
No matter what nation now hosts them
Olympic efforts are taken, to round-up
And bring the lives of animals to an end

When the Olympics were held in China
Riflemen were dispatched into the streets
They shot and killed every canine and feline
As they begged for food, or were fast asleep

Most people that I know were extremely disappointed
When recent Olympics were not held in my hometown
I was sadly in the minority, thanking God they were not
Because I knew my city would also kill every stray around

God Forbid, that humanity actually stops our olympic barbarity
God Forbid, that some tourist sees a starving, homeless, stray
God Forbid, that we start taking care of the pets on our planet
Instead of butchering them, and hauling their carcasses away

Ever since I sadly learned how we now prepare for each Olympics
I have stopped watching them, and this year, I will do the very same
Instead of camping out in front of my T.V., I will be out on the streets
Attempting to rescue another stray, attempting to alleviate my shame
