Mine is giving abandoned dogs a second chance at life

dragged there long ago and left for good,
rusting and wishing if only they could.

As I read Ron’s car restoration poem
His words reminded me, of what I do
Instead of cars, I restore neglected canines
Giving them new life, taking away their blues

Sweet Little Renny is pictured on the left above
He was living in some bushes outside of a church
He was abandoned, neglected, with no one to love
He was starving, forlorn, untrusting, covered in dirt

His new friend Valentino is pictured on the right above
He was discovered in a dusty old shed, eating birdseed
Today, both of these castaways are now happy and healthy
Their restorations and new love of life, bring great joy to me

And right now, I am attempting to rescue yet another forlorn castaway
Who no longer trusts we human beings, and I cannot say that I blame her
She is now is living in an abandoned house, very cruelly left there by her family
I hope to restore her as well, and give her the second chance that she deserves
