Poem Artwork
-->“It was about three and a half feet high, with a head like a collie and
A face like a horse. It had a long neck, wings about two feet long, and
Its back legs were like those of a crane, and it had horse's hooves.
It walked on its back legs and held up two short front legs with paws
On them. It didn't use its front legs at all while we were watching.
My wife and I were very scared I tell you, but I managed to open the
Window and say, 'Shoo', and it turned around barked at me, and flew away.”

Our Neighbors Down The Road, When We Were Both Kids

Music: Who Let The Dogs Out?

Today is the Birthday of my Old Jersey Devil Ed Brother
He says he is 60, but he’s really 300, according to Mother

She says that he was born one dark night in the Jersey Pines
She claims that when he arrived, he began to bark and whine

I always hated the fact that Mother would make me Baby Sit
Every time he snuck out of the house, our neighbors had a fit

So one day so very long ago now, I decided to run away from home
I ran to the deep dark peaceful northern woods, a place I love to roam

I still talk to my devilish old brother once in a while, but he still likes to whine
He’s getting too old to hunt now, so he asks me to send him food all the time

So Brother, For Your Birthday I’ve made your favorite dish – Road Kill Stew
Just Look for The Fed-Ex Truck Today, and Happy 300th Birthday, To You!

PS: Perhaps You Should Invite Our Old Cousin Cur Over For Dinner Tonight,
But Please Behave and Don’t Drool On His Food, Or There’ll Be Another Fight

Your Loving Brother,
Old Pee Wee Wolfman Ed

A diversion from your "letting the dogs in" usual, but quite humorous. That artistic rendition of the Jersey Devil is better than most. I think I recognize that face from high-definition surveillance cameras. But I wouldn't get in a "stew" over it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ED! Bet the gatherings of The Brothers Grimm are a real bun-fight and I pity your dear ol Mar. Still, we always love our own, I guess. Don't listen to Ol Pee Wee Wolfman... best save your breath for those 300 candles! :) xx

Dear Wolf-Pee ...

While yer offer of sharing is most Generous ...
I find such Fare can be too Onerous ...
So I'm afeared that I must Pass ...
Hoping yer Stew Knocks Ole Fart ED right on his ASS !!!

I know it won't be very Long ...
Ere he's Sucking on his Bong ...
So when 300 Bangs on the Gong ...
We'll All be Singin' that Infamous Song ..

" HAPPY HAPPY BURFDAY ... YEW GREAT BIG SCHLONG ! "

Fed-Ex delivers early around here,
Apparently of the dark they have a fear,
They say they have been told the Jersey Devil now lives near,
Just a rumor I'm told by the local rumor mill,
As for me I usually stay inside at night,
And for some unknown reason, the Jersey devil then does not come into sight,
STILL...

Thanks Ed, I got a real laugh out of this one, I am going to save this for future reference & Old Cuz Cur the one-th has an open invitation to stop by for road kill stew, though Merlyn drivers are so bad I am the one that gets his tickets for inviting him here...Thank you again for the birthday wish...ED
