I usually have to travel quite a distance
On most of my pet rescue attempts
But these two street waifs, found me
Perhaps by a kind spirit they were sent
They both appeared in my backyard
This horribly wet and cold Halloween
They took refuge in my backyard kennel
Attempting to escape the streets so mean
The male, a small orange and white tabby
The female, his tiny black and white mate
They decided to live in my outdoor kennel
A life out in the cold weather was their fate
Someone had cruelly cut off the male’s tail
I wondered how anyone could be so mean
It is one thing, not to be an animal lover
But such cruelty to me, is beyond obscene
I began feeding these two homeless felines
And I eventually took both of them to my vet
I decided to have these two soul mates ‘fixed’
Since they had not started their feline family yet
I also decided to let them live together, in my home
Instead of putting them back out into winter weather
It is very obvious, that they truly care for each other
Now, they’ll be able to remain together here, forever

As for the other Ed, he's probably the only stray cur that will bite the hand that feeds him. I wouldn't take him in if I were you.

Sure, we'll take you in as a stray - since I've moved these two cats inside, my backyard dog kennel is currently vacant. But bring a very warm comforter with you - right now, it's about 10 Degrees out there, with a Wind Chill of 10 Below!
lovely read! glad they are part of your family, know they could not do better
Love the picture showing all the lovely attention
Given to each other
Peace be with you
