It’s been another abysmal year
For the loyal pets of the world
Abandoned, Abused, Over-bred
Animal Cruelty continues to unfurl

Dog Fighting Rings continue to flourish
Horrendous Puppy Mills continue to exist
Pets are still being left behind and dumped
Our animal friends deserve far better than this

People continue to purchase puppies from breeders
While millions of dogs die in our shelters and pounds
So many people refuse to spay and neuter their pets
So in our abandoned houses, pups like these are found

With all of the other atrocities occurring in our world today
None of our so called leaders, even care about animal cruelty
Every year, I hope it will be a better one for our animal friends
And at the end of every year, I see no end to these pet atrocities

Please become an Animal Advocate, and do whatever you can
To help these innocent victims of the cruelty and apathy of man
