Each and every bitter winter now, I grow extremely tired
Hearing people claim that their pets like to stay outside;
While out searching for a lost dog, I came upon this one,
Frozen dead and forgotten, and now, frozen tears I cried.

Please tell every pet owner you know to bring their pets inside
In this horrid arctic blast that is now gripping much of our nation.
