I have always loved this Margaret Atwood quote
Since I have been a gardener, since my childhood
I have always loved the Spring dirt and the Spring mud
The Renewal of Life each Spring, makes me feel good

Our pair of nesting Robins has also now finally returned
Their lovely Spring songs, are now echoing through the air
Besides preparing my garden, I can now romp with my dogs
Who like myself, have Cabin Fever, and yearn to be out there

So I have always believed that in the Spring, at the end of every day
One should smell like dirt, and mud, and dog, and also be exhausted
To me each of the Four Seasons has some truly wondrous attributes
And each and every Spring morning, my dogs and I are ready, again
