adrift on scarlet sea, longing for love to prevail.

I cast aside the anchor of my dreary weighted past,

and in somber solitude of starry night, I run my sail full mast.

For islands of discomfort slip silently by,

as the winds of hope lift this vessel of mine.

For the horizon of peace fills my tired old eyes,

as fair winds and singing dreams erase the sense of time.

I twist and bend with both wave and wind,

and dream of tender felt love throughout the night.

I listen still to a groaning sea, as my misery falls from sight.

For I now hear the tinkering of both my heart and soul mend.

And now, yes now, I see the beginnings of a glorious end,

To which upon this sea, I commit myself, to my love,

And the fair winds of singing dreams.
