Poem Artwork
I awoke to a land of screams,

and I prayed earnestly, that it only be a dream.

However, no dream was this…….

For I laid witness now to seven circles of seven pyres,

made for the seventy thieves and the seventy liars.

All of whom to which, have fallen from grace,

To who must now, old Apollyon face.

For Jezabeth had issued a sadistic decree,

for all of the liars and all of the thieves.

That for each lie that on earth was told,

The shade in misery must face the pyres one hundred fold.

Screams of torment now filled the black and putrid air,

As Abigor and his legions descend on stallions with hot embers glowing in their hair.

And on the seven hills that have no names,

flail the souls of millions devoured by flames.

I looked but for a bit of mercy and grace,

Yet, I found none in this dreadful place.

I ran with fear, but my legs were not there,

I tried to hear, but I had no ears,

All I could do was see and think,

As I watched helplessly as Leviathan came laughingly for me.

I prayed once more for deliverance or even for the sight of Charon,

in hopes that he on his skiff once more, ferry me on….

Oh, ferry me on to the other side….

ferry me over the Styx and back to life.

Oh keep me safe from the circles of hell,

And take me in peace to heaven to dwell.

Nevertheless, they all just laughed at me,

as I without legs again tried to flee.

How I wish now, that Jeshua were by my side.

and that I had walked with him before I had died.

However, I know that this is no mistake,

for I chose this direction…and sealed my fate.

So if this piece that in blood and tears I write….

If it were somehow to make it….to the other side.

Listen well to this sad shade's cry,

and decide your own fate…while there is still time.
