Oh Gracious Sea
Soft and red was this morn,
With its beauty of darkness born
Relieving these wearisome tired eyes,
With its scarlet, crimson skies.
Dithery flittery was the southern breeze
Putting heart so heavy and mind so weak to ease.
Sounds of gulls lollygabbing in the air
Brought forth unmeasured joy and unbridled care.
Salty spay from gentle ocean swells,
Crackling sounds of broken shells
Triggering memories past, launching dreams anew
Opening all senses for in which enlightenment is due.
Oh the sea… and the power it holds on me.
Oh gracious sea…in your presence, my soul truly sings.

with the person you adore! Thanks for showing how sweet
life can be to offset the misery. Splendid work, my friend!

A truly inspiring poem that for me was a feast for the senses. I LOVED the word 'lollygabbing'. So expressive I smiled to read it.
The photo is stunning. It is one I would like to read again and again...
Brilliant work!
