Some pretty violent storms rolled in last night with a brilliant show of energy. The photo below is one on the gulls this morning reflecting on the previous nights storms...or so it seemed...LOL...off to catch some waves now...back home Sunday.

After The Storm

Black clouds roll across a tossing sea,

Crags of energy, bolting blue to green.

Rumbling thunder shaking this very ground,

Sending poetic musings dancing to the sound.

The calm before the storm, the storm within the calm

With the sand, and sea relinquishing my all

To the brilliant fury of nature’s sweet balm.

Oh red now are my whispers,

with yellow dimples for my sighs,

ripe now am I with the unrequited joy

brought forth from these storm laden skies.

Oh happy is he…whose heart is held by the sea.

How happy I am…that this be me.

I agree completely the sea in all it's beauty and it's ugliness at times will always keep me close by. I have lived my entire life on, or near the ocean and I couln't imagine life without it.
