Some Say I’m wrong…But what If, I’m Right?

 I have had some, who have come to me with words so bold who have said,
Your God is not real, and that if he was, He no longer lives, but is dead.
I pondered their searing words, and searched my heart as for what to say.
Yet all I would ever do is smile ever so softly, and quietly walk away.
Why, oh why, thought I…
Why would someone say that God is not real or that He is dead?
For I have seen the hand of God touch broken lives and make them whole again.
I have seen His miracles unfold in both the earth and sky,
and I suppose that in truth, I was remiss in not asking of them why.
Therefore to my heart I took in the solemn task
that I may come forth with answers should anyone again ask.
I studied many hours and meditated the still of the night with Him,
and I came to an understanding albeit rather slim.
I discovered that quite often those with much piety and zeal
will without conscious repel those who might have said to God…I Will.
For they in their fervor forget that they too were once lost.
They forget so quickly that we are to lift up all and not just pray for the select few,
They fail to recall that we are to reach out to all those in need and never, ever condemn.
Then one night in the quietness of the hour, another revelation came unto me.
One which caused me much consternation in what it to me revealed.
For this it is so simple, to simply in faith believe.
Yet in times of trial and burden, I in my faith would sometimes waver,
and that I in my frailty would too forget that to His promises I should always cleave.
Therefore I set out on a new journey that very day.
I would now face all of life’s challenges while holding on in faith.
And if anyone would ever to me again say…your God is dead
and this is all that there is, or that we should only concern ourselves with our self
 and do by all means what ever it takes to get ahead.
I will still smile, but I will not this time walk away,
I will in the silence of my spirit for them wholeheartedly pray.
I will ask of them in humble manner as to why they feel as they do
and I will with an open heart listen as they make much ado in their claims of proof.
Then without judgment, I will then make my case.
And after I have had my say, I will conclude by simply saying to them…
”If you are right and there is no God, and when we die we just cease to exist,
then by my believing in Him, I have had  nothing to lose.
However though…Let’s just say that I am right in what I believe,
then in all His glory I have everything to gain.”
And you???

You say: "I'm always worried and frustrated"	God says: Cast all your cares on ME	(I Peter 5:7)
You say: "I'm not smart enough"	God says: I give you wisdom	(I Corinthians 1:30)
You say: "I feel all alone"	God says: I will never leave you or forsake you	(Hebrews 13:5)
