Broken Hinges Of Time
White wooden gates hang precariously on shattered hinges of time.
Paths once crossed with roads hard traveled
Bring reason to the unreasonable memories
Held fast in the recesses of the lucid mind.
Days which were brought forth in pain,
Gave yet of lessons learned and results gained.
Dust now kicked from feet that sorely bleed,
Give proof of years on broken paths of selfish greed.
Two ways now splits the road,
with signs amiss as the coming night in its darkness grows.
White wooden gates now foil the way,
with life near spent in search of the open road paved.
