This Old House And Living Waters
A new light fell soft upon the weathered sill of my mind.
Fragments of a broken heart littered the landscape of another day and time.
Memories like unto cobwebs filled my vision of my life back then.
Cobwebs filled with yesterday’s darkness that billowed angrily in the wind.
This house, this soul, reeked so foul until His light fell and made it whole.
For by Him the foundation was laid, as the carpenter unto this house paid.
Gone now are the creaking clapboards, the rusty broken nails.
Healed is this bitter heart, gone swift with its shattered dreams
A new life resolute now filled from the living waters which stream.
