Sweet Satisfaction

Presentation of our work to the South Carolina State Park....

To the swamps of Carolina we did return. A package to deliver; a promise we did keep. Good to be back home...but...

Poem Artwork

Sweet Satisfaction

Dark were the woods and cool the soft night.

Fog enshrouded cabin; faint flicker of light.

Nocturnal sounds crept on invisible feet.

Solitudes secret splendor my soul did greet.

Forest decay rode upon the rising mist.

Smells culminations derived centuries hence.

A pitter of rain roars upon the blanket of fallen leaves.

Fulfillment devised from the quietness of my need.

Sleep comes easy on the dark wooded night.

Glory resurrects come morning on the dawn’s kiss.

Sweet satisfaction, of somber silence now missed.

I've felt this same way on many occassion and at many a state park in Georgia. My favorite park is Moccassin State Park in North Georgia. One night the rangers came to take a bear out of the tree near our camp.

Your art work is priceless and is well recieved by others I feel sure.

Love and blessings.
