Poem Artwork

Southern Shine

These eyes see soft yellows which dot a greening southern field.

Daffodils emerging from sleep to bring promises of a brighter day and time.

Wondrous are they in their form; brought forth by a warm southern shine.

The smells of new life cling fragile pushing past the gloom of winters cast.

Birds come morning sing; happy too are they in what the southern shine brings.

Lord, open my eyes and heart too, so that I may also shine for you.

Spring comes to life in gentle winds from the South - o, this is beautiful, Allen. Indeed. The end of winter's bleakness comes vividly to fruition - may it continue.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
