The Hush Of Angel Wings
The sense of power stills the humid summer air.
Whisperings of angel wings come soft so fair.
The sweet essence of orchid steals the night away.
Children’s fading cries signal the end of day.
A yellow moon peaks shyly above distant trees.
Silence envelops, save the soft hush of angel wings.
Hand to hand; heart to beating heart we slowly stroll.
Past the winding paths; by broken gates we come to our secret knoll.
Stars ten million chase the yellow moon across the sky.
Hope most certain restored in the still summer night.
Bodies entwined; soul’s surrender to sweetly sing.
Glory touches earth amidst the hush of angel wings.

What a beautiful line to compliment a beautiful poem of love. The secret rendezvouses are what make love incredibly special.
Splendid writing, Allen.
