Ten Thousand Angels
Fields so sweet lay in quiet shadows.
The full moon cast upon its pale glow.
Ten thousand angels gather.
On gold trumpets they softly blow.
Darkness peels away; white light splits the eastern sky.
Deer and coon quickly scurry.
Roosting birds in fevers rush take wing and fly.
Trees with knotted arms reverently bow.
Ten thousand angels close in all around.
Harmonious voices steal down from on high.
Ten thousand angels sing; a praying man cries.

I love the chosen words you bestowed us with!
Like birds in fevers rush take wing and fly
trees with knotted arms reverently bow
peel away
light splits etc.
This is stunningly said and powerfully felt!
A praying man cries, got me in the gut/heart!
