As But One We Remain

If of this light which is you perchance fell from my face.

I would become a thing of naught, lost and out of place.

If of my body this heart or anything you should require.

Then of my blood and soul to you I give in love’s sweet desire.

I would for snatch the very stars from their places on high.

For even in all their brilliance they dim beneath your precious light.

So if of this body there should be anything that ever you should need.

Then know my love that I to you would give it so that you should once again be free.

Will not you see my love that you are a special angel who has brought peace unto me?

So know this now in which I opine; know that you my love should never my heart leave.

For as is the grass upon rolling hills, as there are the oceans and expanding plains.

My love for you is sent from heaven; my love shall forever endure as we as but one remain.
