Thirty Days With Jesus

To my dear, and darling Leah; the sweetness of my spirit; the love of my soul.

You have been with Jesus thirty days now, and oh what sights you must behold.

I know to you it seems like only a whisper; a shallow and soft blink of the eye.

Yet for me my love, it feels like a million years since I held you in my arms and kissed you and said our last goodbye.

I am happy now that you are free of the earthly bondage which brought you so much pain.

Yet I…even though I know that we shall meet again I feel like I am going insane.

Do you remember that I once told you that you would never know how much I love you?

Yet now I suspect that with eyes of the spirit that you know all I said has always been true .

Leah, I don’t know what of this world you can see or even feel.

But if you can see or feel this of which I write, tell Jesus I said hello.

And Baby…one more thing, if you would just ask Jesus to soften for me this terrible blow.

Leah, I hope also that you have thought of me;

I know that there are so many wonderful things in which to see.

But know that you are on my mind both night and day.

And also know that I shall fulfill unto you that last promise I made.

Thirty days with Jesus….just a whisper to you; a soft blink of the eye.

Yet for me my love it has been a lifetime for my very spirit to cry.

I miss you Leah…and China misses you too.

I will always…oh always forever and ever love you.

Allen, as one expressed below, it is hard to read your writings as you share your grief. Yet, the Lord Himself is with you and with Leah--in that sense you are together still.
As tears rush to my eyes in reading of your struggles and your pain, I realize that you are teaching each of us the value of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Your love for Him gives you the living hope that you will be with Leah again and provides the comfort that mere man cannot give. He is there constantly, as a brother, holding you up and offering His strength and comfort.
Keep writing, Allen. We need to know and understand.

Love and prayers, Connie

Allen,
So beautiful it made me cry. Yes, you will be with Leah again one day, you will see her lovely face. God bless and keep you.

Many blessings,

Admirable devotion so eloquently expressed. I had no idea when I first read your bus stop series that this loss was so recent. What a gift--for you to write in memory and in honor of this love--sharing it with fresh hearts yonder and new eyes near and afar. Blessings.

Allen,

You take those unitiated with loss on a powerful journey to the depths of despair and the pinnacle of hope. A month is not long, and yet, seems to go on forever. I know ... perhaps not the same kind of loss, but I know ... yours is a shining, deep, agape love. The love of your Father, Who gave you that love. Rest in His arms; He hears your cries from the heart. He will never leave or forsake you as you grieve Leah. Excellently penned, honest emotions - know you are ever in my prayers -

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *tears*

I don't know why I read your writings anymore, because with each one I feel the pain and loss so intensely....and know I cannot do anything to ease it....It's been 8 years since my love has gone, and it feels as if it were only yesterday...yet I've moved on...at least on the surface, but I know and God knows at the end of each day...that I wait for that time when we will be together again.... We just have to live my friend...as best we can.... You are doing very well so far...and you are loved.... lindalaw

I understand what you are going through. It has been over a year with my Tom gone and I feel the same way. I don't want him to forget me while there, and sure he won't, he is waiting for me. But as I said before, our time isn't yet? God has work for us to do here yet. Heaven must be a wonderful place, they are not in pain no more, which my Tom had much leg pains and all. I too wonder if he sees me each day, but his spirit is with me and I do feel his voice telling me to do some things sometimes. it was hard Monday would of been our 18 wedding anniv, Oct 6, 08, and I had a bad time that weekend but must go on for Tom's sake and mine just as you must go on with these wonderful writes too.

Beautifully heartfelt words you pen in the midst of your pain, Allen. I can't imagine the hurt you carry inside, but yet you know she is in a better place. Continue to lean on the Lord; I Will continue to lift you up in my prayers!
