Why…?
Why is not a word, but an emotion wrought of the soul.
Dreams were once real; yet now they seem dead and cold.
Sleep which once was sweet now hides in shadows dark place.
And I in this unbearable silence seek only to see once again your face.
I sit and I listen and I hear an old song run through memories sight.
“You can look up in the sky and see the stars and never see the light”
I fast forward this song through the growing and sighing ages.
I realize too late how much time on little things that I wasted.
I can’t go back; I cannot unlock the door for I can no longer the future see.
So again I sit and listen as rewind falls hapless off of my minds broken shelf.
And I hear…” So often we live our lives in chains and never even know we have the key.
WHY?

Why? I have not figured it out yet.
God Bless,
Lew
my brother's wife just passed away after 16 years about four weeks ago leaving her 3 year old son and I know it is a major transformation in our souls to let the ones we love go on but it is not a real loss according to our divine Saviour, for He lives and we shall live also!...I think of the buterfly God sent to me on Fathers day 2002( long story) and the hummingbird that came to get me out of the grip of death... He is the Great I Am..He can send His angels and prophets anywhere and use His prophets to show us we are to have hope!!!There is hope and we are always evolving from the catterpillar into that butterfly..
Peace & Joy, Dove
Life is indeed very complex and many times deeply sad and unfair. You will relive all the happiness and joy the two of you shared, your type of relationship never ends.....
Beautiful writing Allen, a truly touching piece highlighting devotion that many never experience and feel.
Take good care, Stuart

The cry of your heart is powerfully expressed in these lines and in the word, "Why?" You're ever in my prayers -
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
And you pen it very well, my friend.
