Aimless Is The Wind
I drift on an aimless wind with no direction ere to be found.
I seek deliverance from this spoil in which my spirit is bound.
For wretched is this broken and bloodied soul.
Oh to ever drift against days past, purloined of love hearts so cold.
I am lost…so lost in this strange new world that I now forced see.
Meaning and purpose has acquiesced; for the silence now consumes me.
I reach out but to taste the sun, but I am blinded by the ambiance of light.
So I listened still in the silence as the remains of my heart took flight.
I have tried…I have tried so hard to let the dead bury the dead.
Yet my devotion carved a line so deep that the ground beneath my feet runs red.
Tis true , so very true that I don’t even talk about you or our love anymore.
For those that live do just that, they live; they have long since shut our sorrows door.
I search only for His peace; I call open and outward upon His name.
For I know that His grace is sufficient and I know that He knows my pain.
I have walked so long by faith and not by sight…yet I grow weary in my mind.
Many here in the Den have held fast and rallied without judgment to my hearts cry.
Soon…I know; I can feel it as I am tossed by the aimless wind.
Soon I hope…not to ever forget, but find some joy once again.
But for now my course is set on uncertainties bitter path.
I only hope that in due course I find a peace that will always last.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.
I'd like to think of the wind as a caress from your love. :)
Take all the time you need; I am still grieving over my daddy's passing, and that was only four and a half months ago. Miss him so much, and miss mom, too--and she's been gone 18 1/2 years!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <
Powerfully heartfelt poem; keep on writing, and I'll keep readin'/reviewin'!
