Poem Artwork

Another Season; Another Time

Leaves fall like dreams across the landscapes of time.

Seasons sown in hope; desires held close to this heart of mine.

Their suits of many colors rustle, given chase by the unseen wind.

Seasons of yesterday collide with the reds and yellows of today to a poignant end.

I watch as the autumn’s colors spill out across the brilliant and glorious blue sky.

I lean by the lady and the cross and I think of my love who now here resides.

New tangents of sadness well up inside; autumn was always her favorite and mine.

I walk, I stop and I listen…I hear the invisible wind and it sounds like crying.

Time to go I thought; time to silently from this hallowed place take my leave.

Soon the trees will be bare, and then on north winds comes the cold.

Another season shall have turned, as I still struggle to be once again whole.

Yet still I see another season, maybe spring; another season that to Leah my heart shall forever cleave.

(((Allen)))

Hope shades these lines of longing: always look ahead and thank God for the seasons you had. Many not as blessed as you've been. Beautiful reminder, my (((friend))).

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.
