Loneliness

How does one describe emptiness in the desperate heart of man?

How can mere words articulate the need to hold loves hand?

Days continue to pass and the months now come and go.

Yet it of this emptiness that I only desire a soft tender hand to hold.

I walk amongst strangers; I hear the chatter that’s beheld between woman and man.

I think; I long; I search the corridors of my heart for reasons I don’t understand.

I see a young lady; a woman who seems to also walk in this world alone.

I wonder if she would walk with me and have understanding of my hearts song.

Alas it is to no avail, for she is soon joined by her husband / lover or friend.

And I, oh I am still left to wonder when this vacuum of dark loneliness will end.

Perhaps; maybe never? I wonder; for it seems that I cannot even see.

So how can these words describe the incredible loneliness that is me?

? does anyone want to walk with me?

Good photo of you and grandchldren. I just got back from Virginia Thanksgiving trip and someone put a picture at my door. These are the words on the picture I want to share with you too. IN MWMORY,
Those we love remain with us,
for love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade,
because a loved one is gone.

Those we love can never be.
more than a thought apart.
For as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in our hear.
I do not know which of my new neighbors put it there but it is so kind of them and helpful in my grief too. The author to these verses is UNKNOWN too, just as my person is too. Everyone tries to help whever you move to.

((( Allen )))
We all are walking with you, holding your hand in spirit, dear friend. You are not alone, you have all of us. God continue to bless you, may he ease your pain as time goes on.

Blessings and love,
~Linda

Wow, well, I think there will be someone who will, and I know your family does, too, and we friends here on the Den can walk with you in spirit-but it is obvious to anyone who reads your work that leah is still walking with you now.
