Grumpy Old Men Part Sixteen
Here I sit all wrinkled and old.
90 degrees outside and I am still cold.
Unruly kids scream down the block.
Oh what I wouldn’t give for a nice size rock.
A grumpy old man is what I have become.
Thirty long years now since I lost my true love.
So now on the porch I sit with a blanket across my knee.
I’m feeling a little wet…I knew I forgot something…I had to go wee.
Things though would be different if you Leah were still with me.
You would have said…” quit your griping and just go pee”

* note…life is what we make of it. It is full of hard knocks; it is rife with heartache. Yet it is our duty to love and love with our all the entirety of our natural days. the above poem is just an example of what direction our life can take if we lack direction. There will never be another Leah, but for this moment in time there is ME…and I choose to love all with all my heart and not star in “grumpy old men part sixteen.”

Oh, this had me laughing and celebrating! Thank God you won't let yourself become a grumpy man. Old, I can't help. LOL So adorable, so fun, so...wet. LOL Well done! Leah will always be a part of you. I think she's dancing in Heaven with joy, seeing how you are determined to live. :)
