The Sea Of Our Love

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Ten weeks after the passing of Leah, the Box Of Memories became a reality. Now six weeks later the video has also become a reality despite Camcorder problems and several unintended copyright violations on you tube. It was filmed 10 miles out at sea off the coast of Georgia where the box that held our dreams and hopes was released to the sea to drift forever... So please if you have the time click on the link after the poem and watch…if you are so inclined I would also appreciate it if you would rate it as well…getting this behind me means much as I step into a new year without Leah…thanks and God Bless you all.

The Sea Of Our Love

Though time goes on and memories come and go like the unchanging tide.

I will always in my heart remember our days of joy with you by my side.

Release built on promises; love always in our sacred hearts dreams shared.

Oh to the sea of love my sweet Leah; to the sea in which we were once forever paired.

Your video of your Box of Memories on Your Sea of Love is truly, truly heartfelt, my friend. And you truly show us all what true love really is, and what it was always meant to be.

Allen,

I pray that 2009 is kinder and gentler to you than the last one was. As I commented on your video, Leah remains with you, in your memory, your heart, and in every word you pen. She is not far from you, even though you can't hold her in your arms. A beautiful poem, promise kept, and video. Well done. "Getting this behind me means much as I step into a new year without Leah" says volumes: you're looking ahead. Hope in this line, alone.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla. :)

Heartfelt write, Allen; well done! Try to have a good year; I know it's hard without your precious Leah; but she is still with you. Continue to lean on that, continue to hang onto those memories, and know that many people love, care for you! Also continue to lean on Jesus; He'll never leave or forsake you! Well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
