A Winter Of Tears
Born of this heart forlorn; fall now a winter of tears.
Torrents upon the frozen sod; consumed by the Carolina clay.
Oh fall now these tears that of a gentle spirit should wholly claim.
Unto the earth in pools of silver they gather and ever so slowly seep.
They in their fullness come now unto the spring to nourish a new seed.
Oh now from the bitter sorrow of winter; to the joy of spring.
A winter of tears shall in Gladness a new life soon bring.
Fields will someday once again bloom with laughter.
For of this past; of this winter of sad and cold discontent.
Is born now something anew from a winter of tears
that a saddened soul of broken heart thus spent.

There is hope amid the bitter cold of winter, that renewal and growth come with the Spring. Well done.
