Angels That Pray
The air outside was unusably warm as an earthly angel stopped in at a church to pray.
She knelt alone, but she was not alone, for she knew that God was here this day.
Through soft tears she spoke to HIM, through a tender heart she prayed for another.
The church was silent and cool despite the warm sun that played softly outside.
Yet it was in this silence that she touched HIS hem when she for another in her heart cried.
She thought for a minute that she heard movement, she turned and looked, but only saw the dust motes as they on silvery white sunbeams did climb.
She then looked up at HIM and in her mind she saw Him hanging on that tree.
She thanked Him for all that He had done for her and in her heart she heard HIM whisper...
You now my child are free.
As this angel stood now to her feet,
she knew that the Lord God had answered her prayer for another
And soon under a hot July sun they would once again meet.
