Fingertips Of Grace & Garden Dreams
Soft shadows fell across the green fields in harmonious splendor.
He stood still in these shadows and watched the deer and rabbit play.
Though this beauty which surrounded him and came on fingertips of grace.
He was lost to it all as his mind and heart fell to the sweet pleasure of another place.
In this place; this garden they walked in silence holding fast to each others hand.
Past lilies they did wander, briefly stopping to smell the lavender and sage.
They meandered around a butterfly bush and there kissed softly in this special place.
Then a cool breeze came on a north wind, bringing him back to the now,
Yet still burned on his heart was this brief but blissful image of his dream.
He looked back out across the green fields brought by fingertips of grace.
The deer were now gone and only a few feet away stood the rabbit looking him in the face.
He smiled. As he thought once more of his garden dream and then turned to leave.
The rabbit did not move, but he thought he saw it smile too…
“You look like a Millie; he said so now little rabbit, you have a name”.
Walking away he felt something warm brush his hand and softness touch his face.
