Though I lost my own mom seven years back, I still miss her very much...
yet there are countless millions of moms everywhere in this big old world who deserve our thanks
and the soft words of I love you...

So this is for all the moms everywhere from me and for one MOM in particular that has become very dear to me...

For Mothers Everywhere

You loved me when I felt unlovable.

You nursed my body when it was sick.

You gave me encouragement when I was down.

And when you kissed me goodnight I knew all was fixed.

You taught me right from wrong.

You showed me how to a woman love.

You held me in your arms when I was weak.

And you assured me by my trials I would be strong.

You defended me when I was slighted by others.

You disciplined me when I was out of the way.

You taught me above all mom how to pray.

Though you have been gone all these years.

You are still with me through all my sorrows and fears.

So mom this little piece is for you and all the other moms too.

For they deserve our love this day for all that they do.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all you ladies in this world so wide.

And of course a special blessing to another who has once again

taught this soul to once again learn to love and to truly fly.

Thank you from this mom....who also lost her own mother, and who misses her children as well... Mom's Day can be lonely sometimes when our children are far away, or don't think of us, or just can't call or visit...and so this poem wa very special to me...thank you ...and...I am happy that you seem to be doing better these days... hugs, lindalaw
