Time And Seasons
The daffodils now bloom; the Robins, harbingers of spring cover the ground.
I can now taste the sweetness of a new spring; another season is to be found.
Soon the azaleas will scream in all their glory with soft hues of splendor so grand.
Oh God bless the times and seasons of our short little lives in this our time; our land.
For each day that we gather breath is a day that we all should give God the praise.
For my reflections this grueling night run deep, for I often think on previous days.
When I entered my home tonight, I saw a picture on the wall from a previous season.
She starred at me in a most familiar, yet now a distant way…there must be a reason?
I spoke to her in a most unfamiliar tone as this time she failed in my mind to greet me at the door.
I just simply uttered…Leah…I will always remember you, but I don’t know you anymore.
I spoke to her these words in the silence of this living; breathing, yet empty home.
I, in my heart heard her say…”DA”…it’s OK…in you an even greater love has grown.
So what to say, whereunto we now gather beneath the time and seasons of our rest?
Life is about second chances to love again, for after all if we trust in God…He knows best.
Good night sweet Leah, and Thank you God for our seasons.
This is in part dedicated to my late wife Leah Cecile Wilson for a sweet memory, and for a wonderful season. and to looking forward to a new season with Jan. For love never dies…it just grows stronger with each season lived by the grace of God…Remember to love all your days with all your heart…for we ALL live in seasons.
