The Forest Of I
I returned to a place where once was I.
Amidst a yellow – red forest –
beneath the October Blue Sky.
I listened to the wind as it
blew a soft hush through the trees.
I chased yellow butterflies and
caught the falling golden leaves.
The Forest of I lent its peace to this my weary soul.
The silence of dark night –the full moon light,
The sunbeams of morning as the dance through the leaves
Which tend to make again one once broken whole.
Oh, how sweet is This - the simple Forest of I
with its lumbering streams and peaceful dreams.
To precious moments beneath the canopy
and October Blue Sky…
Oh, this Forest of I….
