Perversion

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

I just received a call from a friend of mine who makes handmade crosses to which proclaim her faith in Jesus. I have purchased many of these and have given them to many friends including Ed. M, and Rhonda G. My dear friend’s faith is rattled but not broken despite the sadness which has torn not only her heart, but mine as well. She just received news that her ex husband who lives now in Indiana raped and abused their 15 year old daughter. He is now in Jail awaiting a bond hearing… She called me tonight for prayer and I ask the same for those who should read this piece. Anger now fills my soul as I think of the evil that men do. Is there no justice for children????

Perversion

He says he is a man, and lives a man’s life.

He has children, he, has pets, and he has a wife.

However evil prevailed and his daughter he sought in desire.

I know I am to forgive, but the way I feel

About this…HELL does not have hot enough fire.

For the life of me I will never see what a grown man should see in a child.

Children are gifts of God, and we are their protectors for a short while.

To rape a child makes me so ill; to think other than pure thoughts…

I am sorry…as I cannot complete this poem…for this pervert I would like to kill.

Sex is a wonderful sharing. Rape is not sex. It is heartless and selfish. The rapist doesn't even respect himself. My prayers go with your friend and with you but especially with that young girl. I don't think I have any prayers left for him.
God bless,
Lew
