The Key?

I awakened to a new and bright day filled with a dream of hope.

The sun appeared different, it was warmer and brighter someway.

Though distant clouds impend giving off the manifestation of smoke,

I knew in my spirit that somehow that this was just the start of brighter days.

So true it is that many troubles have shadowed each step, yet it seems now I can truly see.

I can’t explain it; this emotion; this feeling, but today I possess a golden key.

I don’t understand; I’ve seen the death of my wife, the near death of my fiancé’.

I teeter on the edge of insolvency; my job of twenty plus years remains strained---I have survived recent surgery and face the prospect of cancer,

Yet, it is such a beautiful day-

I just don’t understand-

It…it has to be God’s loving hand.

Oh what a beautiful day…

This rings true. You have tapped into the raw human emotions that are God-given.

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass … Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” (Psalm 37:4,7)

God bless you,

I think you are connecting to the whispers of your soul Allen, and it has all the answers...Strangely enough I am feeling a similar upliftment too, despite recent sadness about the ill health of my son...Let us remember these feelings, as we have tapped into something magnificent... they will sustain us...

J.Allen,

Even though we suffer many hardships as you have, you always have the man upstairs to hold your hand and make it through. Lovely poem. Mary

Oh Baby, you are back...you have been down for so long...I don't know if it was from the pain or the worry or both...but you are back now...please stay this way...this is the fun, lighthearted man, not the old stick in the mud man...I love both, but the former gets me so down too...when you know how much I like to joke and laugh and when you are chipper it makes me feel so good...Love you Baby...
