Broken Children
Chase now from me I plead this dark coldness within my bones.
Longing is the cry of this soul which seeks only the gentle peace of home.
Shadowy is the cry of the broken children hiding in my mind.
Their screams bring about the night dreams, their cries lost in time.
Never should this affliction rise to bear weight upon the stormy tide.
Never in the sad coldness should their memories within me abide.
Thus now and in humble heart does this your servant quietly plead.
Remove now the broken children; restore all wellness in this my time of need.

Where they sit in darkness, in the safety of being alone.
"Restore all wellness in this my time of need."
God bless you and renew your mind, Allen.

So much is written about broken children, women, men...it's been going on for ever. Don't know when it will all end. I have written numberous poems and short stories addressing this sensitive subject, if only the abuse could end...
You have written a very intense and heart touching poem.
I wish you much peace, love and light,
Amber
God be with you,
Lew
