Hall Of Horrors
The narrow groaning hall lay before me, sedated in its gray green tone.
Stone sarcophagus behind heavy black doors scraped and moaned.
My body seemed to glide like a hovering white fog above the ground.
I wandered in abject misery, forever lost amongst those never to be found.
I felt many cold silver hands through which stone walls did reach.
Voices long ago silent sounded out and of my soul did beseech.
Sounds of manic laughter danced in dizzy circles piercing my ears.
As the ptomaine smell of death bruised my weary heart with fear.
This hall of horrors walked through my dream like kissing a bad thought.
I fought against unseen forces ever wondering of these night emotions thus wrought.
Lifeless bodies touched one another piled high in the gray green hall.
Yesterday was impaled by tomorrow and forever was now gone.
