Weep Not For Me
Shed not a tear when my eyes at last close for eternal sleep
Yet rejoice in knowing of the wonderment that I now see.
My years have been long when side by side measured next to some.
Both sorrow and Joy have shared my journey unto the eternal Son.
Thus now weep not for me as I silently to forever sleep.
For my shadow walks no more and I become but a memory to keep.
Silk lined is the cloth which touches skin that no longer feels.
Imitation oak is now branded with white steel.
The passing is simple, this death be not last night’s dream.
The calling whisper is to the stilled heart which nevermore shall beat.
Thus weep not for me, for I like all, surrender and quietly leave.

Thought sometimes I may feel a bit blue,
But I know you will make it completely through,
The day will come when you are totally happy & feeling renewed...Ed
