I See Ghost

I see the ghost of my past walk with and by me every day.

I see the living who are dying and the colors of life on display.

I hear their voices, the voices of both the dead and the dying.

I remember too much, I see the other side.

My heart weeps not, yet does my soul for the past and present is crying.

The ghost, these spirits walk softly, but not in this world,

But walk in an ‘other world’, the one which lives in my mind.

I hear often his voice, I feel many times her gentle touch.

They are there, but not there, yet visit in memories soft rush.

I see the eyes of the living and in my spirit know

I see their spirits and some are soon to take leave.

Yet now they walk in the flesh, they feel, they breathe,

But shortly their ghost will to my memory shall cleave.

Do you not hear their footsteps as they walk down the hall?

Do you not smell them, hear them or even of them recall?

I do, for they are ever present, they walk among us each day.

They live in the netherworld which in my mind I see.

Yes, I see ghost - not demons- not angels, with golden wings.

But I see those of my past and present who have or will soon pass away.

your voice speaks in poignant hush
of a pleasant past we are in no rush
to bid adieu to, no do we
look unblinkingly at what we see.
A fine verse
to defy a hearse in...
I like your style
I enjoy your unique spin.
