Her Love
I lie under the approaching winter night; I see the stars, I feel the cold.
I hear her whisper soft, so softly in my ear; I know her love, and I know her soul.
I feel her warm tender lips brush gently against my unshaven bristly face.
I hear her heartbeat in the silence of the night; I am consumed by her love and grace.
Her love is unique; uncommon. It comes with the breath of fall and the joy of spring.
My life is old like the winter days which come our way, yet it is new with all hope to bring.
Her love is special. It is tender and so, so very sweet, it is all that I have, it is all I need.
Though this trial of this my life has walked this vessel of clay down many a bitter road.
She, my love has given unto me more than a lifetime in such a short time that a man can behold.
I love her, and she loves me…pray tell can anyone disagree that this is more than one could ever need.
I love you Jan…I love you so.
I am in you, and you are in me.
