Forgive Me….

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

Jan my love, sometimes things in our lives do not seem sane. We face crisis after crisis, we’ve both lost in love, but it is by these events that we grow stronger. We suffer, we love and we endure the challenges because each day that passes we grow closer, we feel each other’s pain. No one said life would be easy and as my dad says, “growing old ain’t for sissies”. But we will survive. As each day passes we grow together as one. Your heart beats with mine, and mine with yours, so forgive me sometimes if I am distant, forgive me if I sometimes fail to see. All that I know is this…I love you and you love me. I also know that our future though dim at times will soon be brighter than the noon day sun as we move hand in hand into the future as one

Forgive Me….

If I’ve never said that I love you in the morning, then forgive me.

If I sometimes forget to smile when you hold me close, forgive me.

I want you to forever know that it is not you, but me and my failure to see.

For it is your sweet smile that consumes me, when inside I feel like I am dying.

Your gentle soft embrace takes me to worlds I’ve never known.

When I feel the warmth of your lips against mine, they soothe me and set me free.

When I smell your sweet essence my heart is left in a flutter sighing.

For it is through the pangs of death of which these, my eyes have seen.

Thus comes now a higher calling and a deeper love between you and me.

Therefore I ask but you forgive me for the unintentional fallacies of this my time.

Yet know that through the passing of another season you will ever in my heart and soul be mine.

It is so good to see such strength here in your words, Allen, and that picture says volumes! I am sure that Jan loves you with every fibre of her being. I do know this: I love both of you and am honored to call you friends! God bless you both and know that you have nothing to apologize for! I am sure Jan understands!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

If you did something really wrong to be asking for forgiveness, I think that Jan should pull you over her lap and spank you...but if u r not into that, I guess u did darn well asking for her forgiveness here...e

Allen and Jan, your love makes my heart melt. Don't worry so much about offending, Allen. It's plain to see that you each accept the other completely and unconditionally. When you love in this way, there is freedom from fear of rejection, because "perfect love casts out fear." Rest in the purity and security of mutual God-given love.

Forgive what??? You have done nothing wrong, my love...You are still the man that makes my heart sing, that makes me feel safe when I get lost, that takes care of me when the pain get overwhelming...You are my knight in shining armor, my prince, my all...Thank you Baby for loving me...
