Little Minnie Meets Leah In Heaven

At 2:30pm my little Minnie passed away today in peace. She was the last of mine and my late wife Leah’s little kitties. See the previous poem ‘A Prevailing Sadness’. I found her hiding under one of my outdoor buildings 8-26-2012 emancipated and dying. I took her in and nurtured her knowing in my heart she would be leaving soon.

She was born either 9-1 or 9-2-2002. I remember this because it was just a few days before Leah’s birthday which was 9-7 as we were getting ready to go to Savannah, Ga. As we did every year for Leah’s birthday and she was reluctant to leave our new litter for vacation. I believe in my heart that she like Leah held on to see her birthday…Like Leah who passed away on her birthday…so lived Little Minnie.

I’m sad to see her go, but unlike some, I believe that she now rest in the arms of Leah in Heaven. Many say that animals have no soul, and even the Bible say as much…but the Bible also says that when we reach heaven that we shall have all our desires. I say who cannot look into the eyes of an animal and see their love and say that they have no soul? They are all God’s creatures and unlike man, they are sinless. Therefore I truly believe that at 2:30pm on 9-1-2012 my Little Minnie leaped into the arms of Leah.

Little Minnie Meets Leah In Heaven

At night after work she was my solace. Together Little Minnie and I would sit together on the back deck starring into the night sky.

In my lap she would lie as I would talk to her and God and dreams of another time.

Faithful every night she would come to me with tail straight in the air to greet.

She would jump in my lap and with tiny paws gently, ever so gently knead.

What she did not realize is the joy that this gesture brought to this spirit in need.

God I’m going to miss her…but I am happy that now she is resting in sweet peace.

Now the back deck and the night sky that we once shared will never be the same.

I’m such a sucker, a man with a bleeding heart when it comes to trying to save all living things.

I laid her to rest next to Leah’s miracle rose right after she passed away in her sleep.

God Bless all those who suffer; God Bless all who suffer and all those who are in need.

Dedicated to my late wife Leah who passed on her birthday four years ago this week.

Also this is dedicated to My Little Minnie whom I laid to rest just a few hours ago in sweet peace.

Little Minnie had a rather short life of 10 years for a cat, but she was lucky to lead the good life knowing that she had a welcome lap in the evening and a master who cared.

Oh my Bubba.. I am very sorry.. I know your devotion to people and animals who are lost, or hurt ..or dying.

Take heart.. I also believe our special pets will be among us in heaven and on the new earth. Read Ecclesiastes 3:18-21

The Word of GOD tells us plainly that eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, the things GOD has planned for us!

Truly our minds are finite, unable to fathom this truth to its fullest.. we can only know what the resurrected Holy Spirit in us may reveal.

But it is all glorious, amen?!

I send you BIG STRONG HUGS, Bubba.. Thank You for your love to Miss Minnie and all the others you so tenderly care for.

Now a New Chapter shall begin in your life with Jan... Expect it!

Cats must have angelic powers because they put up with us humans.
My Sammy by is such a neat cat and the only thing wrong is that he is not expected to live as long as us. God Bless you for taking good care of Little Minnie I am sure she will put in a good word to the Man upstairs so you will get a royal Welcome when your time here on earth his done.
