Revelations From God on a Rainy Summer’s Night
The sound of the gentle falling rain entices sleep.
The back deck glistens; the frogs in distance croak.
Pass now unto the gentle night along with memories we keep.
Love is like unto the rain, it waters our heart and soul for the coming days.
Oh the silence of morning and the gentle smile from Jan who doth caress my face.
Oh how I love the night along with the softness of which the rain doth grace.
The soft rolls of thunder crash in sweetness against a weary and tired mind.
I see upon and in my dreams of this rain filled night the black stallion on which I now ride.
I gallop across ancient and forgotten fields; I sense the spirits of those long ago and their dreams undone.
Delicate is this balance between body; mind and the eternal longing sprit.
So fall now sweet summer rain; wash away my past pain and by grace make me once again as one.
I smile again; I see the sun, the moon, and the bright shining stars.
I taste the essence; I feel HIS presence in a new ‘Eden’ which lay not afar.
Thus now I revel in the soft summer rain for by it I can see a new world, a new day on a spinning beautiful world free of pain set in a place not afar.
God is good, and so is this day as I raise my face to the heavens and taste His tears upon my lips and see the coming a of new and better day.

God has taken the bitter experiences and woven them into a man of tender heart and loving soul.

A powerful poem, yes my friend, God is good. He grants us each new day, 24 hours to fill. This poem is a keeper!
