Dedicated to a dear friend Tammy whom I have not seen in many years. For she is as sweet as the flowers that bloom in Spring. (We love you Tammy, Allen & Jan)

Life Is

Life is like the flowers that bloom in spring.
Nourished by the rain and sun,
To glory they bring.

Summer comes and the flowers shine
And show off their colors
Like dresses on maidens
Who shall before the King dine.

Though drought and plague may strike these gentle petals,
Still some shall survive.
Life is a little bit like this in a way,
We have our drought and all too often we have our own personal plague.

This is not common to just one man,
But it rules us all while we reside on this side of the promise land.
Therefore we must always look beyond this earthly realm.
And turn over the reins of our life and allow God to take the helm.

For like said afore, life is like a flower that blooms in the spring.
Summer comes, it shines in glory and on the warm summer breeze,
Its soft essence, it quietly sings.

Yet the flowers like we surely deep down in our hearts know.
That we will soon taste our fall,
We shall smell the approaching frost that will wilt our beauty
And darkness of winter it shall bring.

Yet the beauty of life lies within this cycle
That our Lord God has made for our eternal plan.
Though we shall fade and we shall die,
If we trust in Him, we're surely like unto the flowers of spring,
To be born once again.

So revel not in these trials of our earthly days,
But rejoice, celebrate, look to Him and smile.
And give Him all due praise.

For God is good and our life is in His hands.
All we have to do, Is like the flower that blooms,
We need to soak in the SON,
Allow Him into our hearts, no matter our travail.
And when we in all of our former glory,
Bow down and lay upon the earth,
We shall know that in life through Him we have surely won.

This is your BEST poem to date.

My favorite part follows:
"Yet the beauty of life lies within this cycle
That our Lord God has made for our eternal plan.
Though we shall fade and we shall die,
If we trust in Him, we're surely like unto the flowers of spring,
To be born once again."

Amen my friend...
