Scars can remind us…Scars will heal
Scars can remind us of where we have been, but they should not ever dictate where we are going.
Not just for I, myself, but for all who have lived and still live life.
Heartache and trauma will befall every man and woman who hath ever taken breath and lived this journey of life.
Be it by death, divorce or yea just of broken heart.
Scar’s of life form early on our fragile souls and can sometimes tear us apart.
These scars are just reminders of where we have been in this vast unknown chasm we call life.
However we should not let these scars though some even fresh and yet still open and bleeding dictate to us what our future may hold.
Tears often at times stream down this little man’s lined, worn and wrinkled face.
Old wounds of the heart are sometimes reopened easily,
Yet in retrospect they often find the soft chamber of their place.
Hence these words which above in silence, so softly speak.
They tell of a wound to a heart that is cruel and runs so deep.
Even though in just a mere weeks it will be five years since Leah went away.
It is still evident at this time of year when old wounds reopen and transport me back to that very day.
Yet I digress and fall away from what I’m truly trying to say.
For, and even though there is an amount of pain that shall forever stay.
I SHALL not let it control my future.
Nor shall I let it forever in its on sadness rule my life nor day.
For as you all see, I have in the most part by the Grace of God moved on.
And I have taken a beautiful and wonderful blessing unto me.
Her name is Jan and I am so proud and happy to call her my wife.
Yet I wanted to take this sacred moment to reflect,
To say my peace, be still and remember my late wife Leah
These days approaching are often sometimes very sad days.
Especially in light of Jan’s recent illness and surgery similar to what took Leah away.
For it is certain that God in His word is true.
Scars and memories may at times haunt us.
But they just mere reminders of another future that we never could construe.
I will in all heart unto you all be honest and true.
When the doctors said issues with the pancreas I CAME UN-GLUED .
Yet all is well with Jan and her recovery will take time, yet it re-opened the old scars on the eve of the anniversary of my late wife Leah, thus and therefore the healing begins in both heart and mind.
So with the blessing of Jan, my sweet and lovely wife, I concede this singular moment in that vastness of eternity.
I give this minute, this second in time in which my heart that lies upon another time.
I give tribute to another gift from God whom loved God, who loved me; one that I once by grace called mine.
Happy Anniversary Leah this Day, August 24th and Happy Fifth Birthday in Heaven, which is also your earthly birthday September 7th with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Though this poem is in remembrance of your bloody dreadful lose.
I find it upbeat and fresh and so full of appreciation for the great times you had on this temporal coil. And accept that beauty and pain are one of the same prices love exacts from us.
Of course you'd become unglued, those that don't are hard of heart.
In losing Dad, my Niece, aunty, and mum being quadriplegic from a stroke a month ago, as well as losing wife and son a fair few years back. I can admire you strength and inner peace. ..."peace be still..."
Super news about Jan, it's Jan-tastic. Your faith - so strong - can only be a blessing to Jan.
So sorry you lost your hard drive with so many works and memories on it. I lost my autobiography to a bad data transfer to a new computer so I know how it feels.
I also lost a good friend at work who had pancreatic cancer… Most devastating. Even more devastating to find out that your new wife had a similar problem… Thankfully resolved.
