Katie, your smile when you greeted us was gentle and so kind.
You listened to our laments, never once thinking of time.
You spoke briefly of your dreams;
A desire born of a pure heart to help others in need.

It takes a special person to do the job of which you wish one day to do,
It takes a caring heart and a passion of soul to help other people,
Strangers in need to see it through.

So may the blessings of the wayward wind be always at your back.
May you find by helping others, you fulfill your life’s task.
