Anger More than Fear

Almost 10 years ago I lost my wife to cancer. Since then I have re-married to a beautiful woman by the name of Jan. In the 8 years we have known each other she has endured and cared for me through two surgeries and two battles with cancer. How she did it I don't know.
However today I was called in by my doctor for "Consultation." Yes, consultation. Through blood work and other tests and DNA extracted cells the results came back positive for cancer or pre-cancer. Am I afraid... a little, but mostly I am angry. Angry at what may be, angry at having to go through this crap again.

Anger More than Fear
To see the moon rise on an ocean red. To smell the spring rain on flowers sweet scent.
To feel the summer sun and watch birds soar. To have this desire of want forever more.
Simple dreams yet fulfilled. Loves touch, sweet smiles, kisses sweet as honey on the lips of life shall not, cannot yet be killed.
Thus the anger more than fear. Anger that is hot to the touch. So hot does the fire burn within. To much left to do rather than go through this again.

I am so sorry to read of your latest diagnosis, Keeping the faith, so to speak, becomes all the harder when we are ill.
You are in Prayer
m
We are Children of GOD, re-born of the Incorruptible Seed, Jesus The Christ! That means Jesus' Blood is in your veins now, and Jesus' DNA is in Jesus' Blood in your veins, and THAT means His D - DIVINE, N- NATURE, has been A- APPLIED to YOU! Believe it, Declare it aloud! When we are weak, THEN HE is STRONG!
My heart breaks for you to revisit this again, Bubba.. and GOD bless Jan; she is amazing in her loving care for you!
I understand your anger... but dispel it please, Bubba, for anger turns to bitterness very quickly and then resentment feeds that fire you speak of. And Both FEED cancer!
As Ron said, your poem shows great sensitivity to the beauty that is love and nature.
John Michael and Diana, my sincerest condolences for your loss of spouse.
Ron, I am always praying for you..thank GOD it was just a scare.
Let us all pray the same rings true for Allen.. and my own daughter Shelley 44, diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Much love and faith,
Sis
On the other hand, your poem shows great sensitivity to the beauty that is love and nature.
