Poem Artwork
Fly on sweet angel of light; seek now thy peace, I grieve as you ascend.

The shell that bound you, holds you no more, you are free at last to forever soar.

I shall miss you ever so much; I shall hunger always for your Mothers touch.

You gave life to this man called me, you loved me when I was unlovable, you

Were always there for me, when I hurt, you hurt and when I cried, you cried as well.

Pity though how life sometimes can seem so cruel. Your life was short and not so sweet.

You suffered much and somehow, even in this saddened state, I am glad that you are free.

Yet, I in my most selfish of being still must say. I wanted you to stay, no matter your hurt or agony.

I pray that you can find a way, to somehow forgive my greed. I never wanted you to hurt,

I never wished you any pain; I just wanted you to always be. Oh mother, why, oh why did you have to leave, for do not you know I will always secretly grieve? I miss you so much; I Love you, but go now and sleep the sweet sleep of peace. Goodbye sweet angel of light, may Gods peace be always with thee
