Burdens To Bare

by J. Allen Wilson — Read all 1,629 poems by J. Allen Wilson

An emotional tidal wave came this way, I pray for strength to see a better day.

Poem Artwork

Oh, what burdens this worn and fearful soul bares,

Oh how I wish I could reveal it all to someone who would care.

For my days have become nights and the darkness my friend.

I long for comfort, yet I will remain forever silent to the end.

I know the answers and I know life’s course, but these burdens must remain forever hidden in the pain ridden chambers of my breaking heart.

I pray, I seek, I humble myself, I am weak.

Yet it still remains and without doubt,

I will never escape for there is no way out.

I hear people say, you “look cheerful today” and then they

Will unknowingly proclaim, “I wish I had it as good as you.”

I only smile and walk slowly away.

For I still pray, I still seek, I am frail now

For my spirit of my hope has grown weak.

I pray,

I try,

I cry,

Someday,

Goodbye.

Share your burdens with me Allen, I am here
to listen and offer my angels to help you
if needed. I am sure you have read some/most my poems and have seen my display of emotions in my poems. I have had a brainstem tumor, hydrocephalus, Cowden's Syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type II. I still fight every day and go on with life and create poetry AND create MUSIC which is my major in college now. Life is starting to be ok for me, still has its ups and downs. You can reach me at Becca.authorsden.com if you want to talk.

..why not share these burdens you bear..why do you think you need to endure such plight on your own..we are all here to assist one another in this earthly scenario..feel free to unburden yourself..we are all ONE...:)
Touching piece,
Vesna
