Dark was the December night
and to my sleep went forth I.
yet sleep, I did not,
for slumber brought forth plight.
For,
In and out of torrid dreams went I
Chasing fear, fleeing fright.
Scaling walls that did not exist,
Seeking a presence of mind to resist.
Yet failure was mine
As horrid events
Persistently filled my wits.
I dreamt of wars full of destruction,
I could hear the somber crying of children
I could smell the smoke, as skyward it rose
I could taste the devastation
Of battles fought.
Alas though
from this cruel and relentless night I awoke
with all clarity, I recall the dying,
I still felt mourning throughout our land.
All this thought I,
As I shook and trembled,
Is the doing of the madness in man.
Dear God I prayed,
Remove these dreams from this December night
And restore peace to this day.
For I am weak and unable to stand,
Bearing these visions of the destruction
Of man.

Taken from an actual dream that I had in December of 2000
I left out a large portion of the notes I had taken, for the sake of brevity.
We all need to unite for the sake of peace, for death and destruction, really
Is more than I can stand.
~PEACE~
and meaningful write!
